An Analytical Study on the Pull-Out Strength of Anchor Bolts Embedded in Concrete Members by SPH Method

As an important method for connecting structural members, anchor bolts have been installed in many situations. Therefore, accurate evaluation of the pull-out strength has always issue, considering complicated actual installation conditions and problem aging deterioration members. In general, patterns failure can be classified into three types: adhesion failure, cone bolt break. However, it sometimes shows a mixed fracture pattern, is not easy to predict strength. this study, we attempted evaluate under various using SPH, which analyze crack growth process concrete. particular, bolt-concrete interface model was introduced SPH analysis order consider bond confirmed that load capacity could predicted by proposed method. After that, influence several parameters, such as stress limit, diameter, embedment depth on capacity, were investigated numerical calculation. Furthermore, useful suggestions improper conditions, ends members purpose seismic retrofitting, are presented.
